The Headline Number: 76.9% on High-Confidence Picks

Before we dive into the raw numbers, here's what really matters: when our AI is confident, it's usually right.

Confidence Threshold Correct Total Accuracy
All predictions 28 66 42.4%
≥ 65% confidence 23 41 56.1%
≥ 70% confidence 20 31 64.5%
≥ 75% confidence 10 13 76.9%

The confidence score isn't just a number — it's a genuine signal. High-confidence predictions like Benfica away at Arouca (92%), Trabzonspor vs Rizespor (83%), and Real Madrid vs Elche (82%) all landed. The AI knows when it knows.

Highlights

Best Calls ✓

  • Atlético Madrid 1-0 Getafe — Our AI nailed this at 72% confidence. Atleti's dominant H2H record (71% win rate in 34 meetings) was the deciding factor.
  • Galatasaray 3-0 İstanbul Başakşehir — 78% confidence, spot on. The model correctly identified Gala's home fortress and the 19-point gap.
  • Trabzonspor 1-0 Rizespor — 83% confidence. The AI picked up on Trabzonspor's exceptional 4-game winning streak.
  • Borussia Dortmund 2-0 Augsburg — 78% confidence. Classic case of the model correctly reading the quality differential.

Biggest Misses ✗

  • West Ham 1-1 Manchester City — We predicted a comfortable City away win at 78% confidence. West Ham's relegation fight gave them an edge the model underestimated.
  • PSV 2-3 NEC Nijmegen — NEC pulled off the upset at the Philips Stadion. Our model gave PSV 68% confidence but NEC's recent form was a warning sign we should've weighed more.
  • Girona 3-0 Athletic Bilbao — Predicted Athletic away. Girona completely dominated at home, something the historical H2H data didn't predict.

Interesting Patterns

  • Draws remain our weakness — When the result was a draw, our model rarely predicted it. Leverkusen-Bayern (1-1) and Hoffenheim-Wolfsburg (1-1) both caught us off guard.
  • Home teams outperformed — Especially in the Bundesliga Saturday 14:30 slot, home wins dominated.
  • Europa League was rough — Only 1/8 correct. These knockout ties are inherently harder to predict with many surprises.

Looking Ahead

Next week features a massive Champions League round of 16 slate: Arsenal vs Leverkusen, Chelsea vs PSG, Man City vs Real Madrid, and more. These high-profile ties will be a real test for our multi-agent system.

We're also looking at improving our draw prediction model — clearly an area where there's room to grow.
